The bag I’m leaving behind is..

It’s EXTREMELY hard to decide but I feel like I’m over the bags with name brands plastered ON the bag. Aka, a Gucci bag that spells out “Gucci” or “Celine” or “Chanel” 😅

The quiet luxury movement definitely influences me! I’m still totally into logos but the spelling of the designer on the bag? That’s not coming with me in 2024!

What’s a bag trend or style you’re leaving behind?
Thinking about investing in a luxury designer handbag? ✨Hold on a sec! The world of high-end fashion is filled with glittering allure, but it’s also riddled with myths that can lead you astray. Before you splurge on that gorgeous arm candy, let’s bust some of these myths and set the record straight.

Here are common misconceptions about buying luxury handbags that might just change the way you shop:

1. Designer Handbags Always Increase in Value: There’s a common misconception that all designer handbags will appreciate in value over time. While this can be true for certain limited editions or iconic models, it’s not a universal rule. Buy what you love and what you’ll wear!

2. The More Expensive, The Better the Quality: Price doesn’t always equate to quality. Some designer handbags are priced high due to the brand name rather than superior craftsmanship or materials. This is a massive thing with some top brands now.

3. All Designer Bags are Handmade: While many luxury brands boast superior craftsmanship, not all designer bags are entirely handmade. Some brands may use a mix of machine and handcrafting, and the level of craftsmanship can vary significantly between brands and even between different lines within the same brand.

4. Limited Edition Means a Good Investment: While some limited editions do become more valuable over time, others don’t gain much in resale value. The investment potential depends on various factors like brand legacy, demand, and the uniqueness of the design.

5. Buying From Official Stores is the Only Safe Option: There are many reputable online platforms and second-hand stores that sell authentic designer handbags! It’s important to research and verify the credibility of these sellers, but they can offer genuine products, often at more competitive prices.
Are you eyeing that stunning luxury bag but not ready to splurge on a brand-new one? Venturing into the world of second-hand designer bags can be like finding hidden treasures – you get the style, the brand, and the quality, all at a more wallet-friendly price (usually).

But hold up, it’s not all ✨glitz and glam in the pre-loved market. Navigating this realm requires a keen eye and a bit of know-how. Let’s dive into the common pitfalls you’ll want to sidestep to make sure your next designer bag is a fabulous find, not a faux pas!

Not Researching Enough: One of the biggest blunders is diving in without doing homework. Overpaying for bags due to a lack of market knowledge happens a lot. So, do your research, find the exact brand, style, condition, and year of the bag you want, and compare prices across all platforms.

Buying Fakes: Always research the brand, the specific model, and unique features. Familiarize yourself with the brand’s stitching, hardware, and serial numbers to spot any red flags. You don’t want to be buying a fake.

Ignoring the Condition: It’s easy to get carried away by the brand name and overlook the bag’s condition. Remember, no matter how high-end, a heavily worn or damaged bag might not be worth the investment. Check for signs of wear and tear, like scuffs, stains, or hardware damage. These can significantly affect the bag’s value and appearance.

Overlooking Return Policies: Always check the seller’s or platform’s return policy. In the excitement of scoring a deal, many buyers forget to consider the possibility of needing to return the bag. Whether due to authenticity concerns or simply not loving it in person, having the option to return is crucial. Ensure you understand the terms and conditions to avoid being stuck with a bag that doesn’t meet your expectations.

By steering clear of these common mistakes, you’re well on your way to snagging that dream luxury bag without any regrets. ✨
